FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What exactly is Afiyah and who is it for?
Afiyah is a life and health coaching service designed especially for women. We provide a supportive space to help you feel better, regulate emotions, rebuild confidence, and create a life that feels aligned. Whether you're navigating burnout, anxiety, stress, or simply want to feel more grounded, Afiyah is here for you.
2. What happens in a coaching session?
Each session is a calm, supportive space where we talk about what’s going on in your life, explore tools that can help, and create gentle action steps together. Sessions may include breathwork, grounding exercises, mindset coaching, and guided reflections all tailored to your needs.
3. How is coaching different from counselling and therapy?
Coaching focuses on the present and future. It’s about building tools, routines, and mindset shifts to help you move forward. Counselling helps you heal from your past to focus on the future. It’s more present-focused for people dealing with life challenges. Therapy focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, and healing old wounds.
While therapy often looks into deep healing from past trauma, coaching helps you take empowered action right now. We do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions, but we do offer a trauma-aware, safe and supportive experience.
4. Do I have to commit to all 12 sessions?
Not at all. You’re free to book a single clarity call, a one-time reset session, or dive into our full 6 or 12-week journey. We’ll always meet you where you are and adjust as needed.
5. What if I don’t know what I need right now?
That’s completely okay. Many clients come to us feeling unclear or overwhelmed. We’ll help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and begin from exactly where you are. You don’t have to have it all figured out, that’s what we’re here for.
6. Is Afiyah only for women?
Yes. Afiyah is a women-centered space. We create safe, nurturing coaching experiences specifically designed around the needs, rhythms, and lives of women.
7. Can I try a session before committing to a full program?
Yes! We offer a free clarity call to explore what you need and how we can support you. It’s a no-pressure conversation to help you decide what next steps feel right.
8. How do I book a session?
You can book directly through our website or send us a DM or message via Instagram. We’ll guide you through the steps from there.
9. Is this religious or faith-based coaching?
Afiyah is rooted in compassion, evidence-based practices, and emotional wellbeing. While some clients may choose to bring their spirituality into sessions, it is not required or imposed.
10. What if I feel nervous before the first session?
That’s totally normal and expected. This is a space of zero judgment. We’ll take it slow, and you’ll always be in control of the pace, the conversation, and the process.
